Welcome to Joomla-Demos.com

 Download the current version of Joomla

{mosimage} This website was created in order to allow you to try my of the popular Joomla! modules and components before downloading them and going through the trouble of installing them.  Our goal is to make it easier for you to find the perfect solution for your Joomla website.  We add new updates regularly and also post some interesting articles from time to time.

We have hundreds of module and components installed for you to test.  We are very careful to keep all of our addons carefully organized and also to provide detailed information on how to obtain them.  We also provide a Membership forum where we can provide unoffical support for any of the components on our site.  We have obviously already installed the modules, so we may know a thing or 2 about how to add it to yours.  We do all of this for you absolutely FREE!  If you like our site and think we provide a valuable service, please use our Tell-A-Friend form to help us spread the word.

What is Joomla?

 {mosimage} Joomla! is a production of Open Source Matters, the same team that brought you the award winning Mambo Content Management System.  OSM has taken their final stable version of Mambo (4.5.2.3), given it a spring clean and named it Joomla! 1.0 In addition, several small features that were going to be released in Joomla! 1.1 have been brought forward and included in this release.

Joomla is a free, award-winning content management system written in PHP which is allows users to easily publish their content on the world wide web and intranets.  Joomla is created as an open-source project where individuals and teams contribute their skills to its development as well as its supporting systems.

Why should I use Joomla?

 Joomla is very powerful and can be used as a base for almost any web application that you are developing.  While Joomla is packed with features, its greatest quality is that it is extremely extensible.  Because of its extensible structure, there aren't many things you cannot do with Joomla.  A short list of some important features of Joomla are the following:{mosimage}

  • Page Caching
  • Web Indexing
  • RSS Feeds
  • Printable Page Versions
  • Newsflashes
  • Blogs
  • Forums
  • Polls
  • Calendars
  • Website Searching
  • Language Internationalisation.
